Elle Seymour, Broker
Starting my real estate career in Palos Verdes, California in 1980, my husband and I moved our horse-breeding operation here in 1981 and I continued my real estate career in Santa Barbara County.
I was a Top Producer for the two real estate companies I worked for prior to opening Prestige Properties of Santa Ynez Valley in 2001. In October of 2003, I became the Broker/Owner of the RE/MAX franchise in Solvang, also serving Santa Ynez, Los Olivos and Buellton. In 1991 and 2005, I had the honor of being included in Unique Homes Magazine as one of the Who´s Who in Estate Properties in the United States.
Having always been in a service-oriented profession, I especially love being a Realtor in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley because of my strong attachment to the Valley itself and the wonderful people who live here. I thrive on overcoming challenges and achieving results that make people happy.
As you already know, my goal has always been to provide the very best service possible for my friends and clients. After much deliberation and prayer, talking with my husband and a few treasured friends, whose opinions I greatly value, the decision was made to join Village Properties as a Broker/Associate. For me, this was the only real estate company that operates in harmony with the way Prestige Properties has always done business, working with integrity, professionalism and giving back to the community.
I have been acquainted with Renee Grubb, co-owner and founder of Village Properties since the late 1980´s. I have great admiration for her as a person, as a real estate professional and for the practices and values her company exemplifies. As a person who likes to give back, I appreciate the way Village Properties gives back by sponsoring a Teacher´s Fund which helps teachers with out-of-pocket expenses and needed classroom tools.
This move will also allow me more financial freedom to invest in the promotion of my listings, as well as allowing me to join a team of real estate professionals with whom I have long been acquainted.
Locally owned and operated, Village Properties is based out of Santa Barbara and is the only local company that is an affiliate of Christie´s Great Estates, a world-renowned auction house of fine antiquities and also represents some of the finest estates in the world. By being a Christie´s affiliate, I will be able to circulate brochures to all the other Christie´s affiliates and auction houses throughout the world.
It has always been, and will continue to be my goal, to provide you with the best real estate has to offer. My heart is in helping you achieve your real estate goals.  MDA Humanitarian of the Year 2006
Born in West Hollywood, CA, Elle grew up in Downey and Torrance. She graduated as Thespian of the year and attended Pepperdine on a 4-yr. English/Theatre arts scholarship. Her education was interrupted by Divine intevention which caused her to become and L.A. County Deputy Sheriff prior to graduation and she met and married David (who was a school-teacher) that same year.
Elle excelled in track and field and brought home a total of 5 medals (2 gold) from the California Police Olympics, holding the record in the long jump for 3 years. She was the entire women's track team, representing the L.A. Co. Sheriff's Dept. at the National Police Olympics and brought home a silver in the 100-meter dash. Because of her physical agility and positive attitude, she was drafted into the patrol car and worked on night shift in West Compton. In 1980, she took a leave when they wanted to start up a a family and got her real estate license. She, Dave and their Peruvian Paso horses moved to Santa Ynez Valley in 1981 where she continued her real estate career along with breeding, training and successfully showing their horses. One of their stallions was the number one stallion in the country for four consecutive years.
Elle has always had a heart to serve and has always been in a service-oriented profession. She started her own real estate company, Prestige Properties, in 2001 in order to better serve her client needs with integrity, honesty and caring. She was honored when RE/MAX approached her about being a franchise and they joined forces in 2003 as RE/MAX Prestige Properties. Her office was a "Miracle Office" which means that a portion of each commission earned went to support the Children's Miracle Network. Elle served 5 years as an ordained Elder in the Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Church. In addition, she served on the board of the American Heart Association for two years when they were active in the Santa Ynez Valley, and served for two years on the board of Santa Ynez Valley Rotary Club. She has been singing in the S.Y.V. Presbyterian, "Blue Angels" choir since 1983 and has a trio, known as The McChoir Sisters which sings old standards from the 40's all the way up to the 70's. She still has a passion for acting and will be appearing in a film due to be released in the summer of 2006.
MDA is a very personal organization to Elle and because of this, she has made every effort to support the organization in achieving its mission. She began participating in the MDA Executive Lock-Up in 2001 and has been the top bail raiser ever since, breaking all California records in 2004 by raising in excess of $6,000. She credits her success to the support of exceptional friends and business associates and her loving husband David. She is a firm believer that there is a hero in ALL of us and that each day we live is a gift from God. To repeat something she once learned at a memorial service she sang: "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift from God, that's why we call it 'the present'. Her wish to each of us is that we treasure each day as a special gift.

CONGRATULATIONS ELLE!
Elle Seymour is part of a great group of women who are known as the Fillies. The Fillies group consists of 100 women who promote fellowship and good horsemanship. They ride on many private ranches in and around the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. Elle has received the title "Filly of the Year" for riding on 19 of the 24 rides in 2007. We congratulate her on her achievement for being so dedicated to this wonderful group.
RDS El Angel Del Peru
Metallic Golden Palomino Peruvian Stallion
Dave and Elle Seymour's Junior Stallion RDS El Angel del Peru won El Merito Honorable from the Southern California Peruvian Paso Horse Club "SCPPHC". In order to win the El Morito Honorable Award, a horse must win in excess of 50% of all points possible in a specific division. They are very proud of their young stallion.
